Description
Ruby Group are looking for an accounts payable team leader to join an international business that employs over 1500 people and turnover 400 million per year. This is a newly created role, reporting in to the Financial Accountant your responsibilities will be. Supervision of three accounts payable assistants. Ensuring weekly and monthly deadlines are met. Training and appraising staff. Continually improve purchase ledger transactional flow, identify and resolve any inconsistencies, reconcile difference and maintain accurate financial records. This includes matching of purchase orders to GRNs to invoices, reconciliation of labour. To ensure that all purchase invoices and related transactions are controlled, processed accurately and recorded. Manage supplier issues as required, ensuring strong controls and analysis exist. Responsible for ensuring fund payment and allocation are within agreed timescales. To ensure the frequent and accurate completion of analysis required for ad-hoc, daily, weekly, monthly and year end purposes. To continuously improve processes and drive change within purchase ledger. Provide strong financial control, accountability and analysis across purchase ledger functionality and transactional activity, ensuring businesses risk of fraud or error are minimised.

The ideal applicant will be working towards a professional qualification in either ACCA, CIMA or AAT. Have experience supervising teams and have at least two years experience working within accounts payable or receivable functions. You must have experience working within a high volume multi-site environments, have excellent attention to detail and accuracy of transactional processing. Candidates that have SAP experience will have an advantage. You must be able to communicate at all levels and prioritise work load.
