Ruby Group are looking for a Finance Manager A private equity backed business that has grown substantially over the last few years with further plans to expand.Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, this will be a varied position. You will take ownership of UK&I finance activities including monthly management reporting, statutory audit, business partnering, financial analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, tax, treasury, and a range of strategic projects. Lead, mentor and develop a team of three part qualified accountants. Oversee the preparation and coordination of annual statutory financial statements and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance with UK&I accounting standards and regulations. Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard financial data and ensure adherence to corporate policies and regulatory requirements. Ownership of the monthly reporting process for UK&I, delegation of tasks across the team, ensuring balance sheet accounts are reconciled and reviewed, ledgers are reconciled and reviewed. Collaborate with key stakeholders across departments to provide financial expertise and support with strategic decision. making processes. Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities, offering insights into financial performance and cost optimization opportunities. Prepare and file quarterly VAT returns, corresponding with HMRC and Irish Tax authorities as required. Closely monitor cash across UK&I banks, provide GFC and other relevant departments with regular liquidity forecasts, approve payments, provide support to the GFC on treasury items.
The ideal applicant will have a professional qualification in either ACCA, CIMA or ACA. You must be fully qualified and have at least two years post qualified experience with experience leading teams, have in depth knowledge of UK accounting principles, tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements. Excellent communication skills and the ability to priorities your workload is essential. This is a Hybrid working role, 3 days in the office, flexible working is also offered.
