- Ruby Group are looking for a Divisional Financial Controller to join a global ftse250 located in central London. Reporting to the CFO your responsibilities will be to oversee a team of 15 whilst being a business partner to divisional directors, assisting with strategic direction and tactical initiatives for the division. Financial and operational modelling to measure impact and practicalities of changes to structure/organic growth-products. Review of the division's commentary on its financial performance in the relevant month and monthly meeting materials and presentations. Preparation and review of budgets, rolling forecasts, KPIs, statutory accounts, incentive schemes and new business plans. Resolution of internal and external audit management letter points. Adhoc operational responsibilities for the division, including optimising sales performance, improving business process efficiencies or specific projects such as systems integration (e.g. salesforce) Review of monthly management accounts, bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, salespeople commissions, balance sheet reconciliations, monthly headcount tracking reports. Ad hoc analysis and projects: this could include financial due diligence assignments on potential acquisitions, plus internal audits both in the UK and overseas. Providing general finance support for all businesses in the portfolio. This will certainly include improving existing financial systems and controls used within the business portfolio. Adhoc special projects for the CEO, Finance Director or Deputy Finance Director.
The ideal applicant will be a qualified ACA/ICAEW with at least 4 years post qualified experience. You will have commercial acumen and understand media and information markets, be comfortable interacting with executives and entrepreneurs. Able to communicate professionally and succinctly in both verbal and written form. You must have Willingness to travel and/or relocate overseas. Language skills, especially Spanish and French helpful. Excellent knowledge of Excel, Sun Systems, SAP Business Objects (Financial Consolidation) is an advantage.
