Ruby Group are looking for a Finance Analyst to join a renewable energy company located in Stafford. Employing over 200 people, with £200M t/o. This is a newly created position reporting to the Financial Controller and Management Accountant. Your responsibilities will be to provide insightful analysis and narrative for key energy related direct costs covering power, fuel, and carbon reductions. Sales report analysis (volume/pricing) highlighting key variances to senior management. Ensuring payments are made in accordance with underlying agreements and volume data. Restoration volume monitoring for HMRC compliance. Accrual and prepayments, covering four entities calculated in accordance with underlying cost and operational and meter reading data, VAT returns, maintain and reconcile journals. Balance sheet reconciliations. You will also assist with month/quarter/year end preparation and ad-hoc audit.
The ideal applicant will be working towards a professional qualification in either ACCA, CIMA, FCA or AAT. A minimum of two year’s experience gained whilst working in a relevant finance position. Intermediate/Advanced excel and data manipulation skills are essential, possessing the ability to analyse and interpret data that non finance people can understand. You must have excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise your workload and meet deadlines. Our client can offer career progression, training, and development.
