Financial Accountant

Ruby Group are looking for a Financial Accountant to join a FTSE Property business based in Central London. The position is permanent, working within a team of 8 and reporting into the Financial Controller. This is a newly created position and will provide further opportunities in a continually growing business. The main responsibilities are as followed: -

• Preparation of monthly financial accounts; including journal postings, accruals & prepayments
• Maintains accurate accounting records and provision of financial reports.
• Preparation of monthly Balance Sheet and Intercompanyreconciliations\Completion of VAT returns on a quarterly basis
• Provision of data, analysis and insight as requested by the Corporate Finance team
• Liaising with third parties including engineers, insurers, banks and surveyors in the provision of relevant information
• In conjunction with the Financial Controller, prepare and maintain all financial statements, as per audit requirements, and liaise with the auditors, as required to comply with interim and year end audits.
• Oversight of Capital Expenditure and in conjunction with Fixed Asset Accountant & Financial Controller, maintain accurate asset records and reporting
• Completion & preparation of monthly balance sheets, reporting, and analytical review, ensuring adequate back-up for postings and accuracy of balances
• Monitors and reviews cash flow performance
• Performance of review & authorisation over company activities including expenditure and bank payments
• Complies with Corporate policies and procedures and adheres to recognised international accounting standards

The ideal candidate will be or have the following: -

• Qualified or finalist level in ACCA, CIMA or ACA
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
• 3+ years experience
• Excellent communication skills
