Ruby Group are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join a 400 million turnover business operating within the FMCG space. Reporting to the Commercial Finance manager your responsibilities will be to provide financial analysis to help make key business decisions. You will supervise a financial analyst. Provide planning, modelling and fiscal reporting. and  financial expertise to underpin the capacity, capability and flexibility of the Finance Team. Ensuring internal and external customer requirements are met. You will act as an integral member of the Finance team to achieve the Company’s goals through Business Strategic Enablers. You will Provides financial expertise to the wider business, e.g. tenders and pricing arrangements, to ensure cost of doing business is transparent and that the impact on profit are acknowledged and understood by all stakeholders. Continually review, identifying and develop production of further management information, what-if analysis or modelling, for all stakeholders, incorporating reviews and analysis of business performance. Ensures the compilation of the annual budget, rolling forecasts and weekly forecasts, ensuring adherence to tight time scales. Provide narrative and analysis to ensure full understanding of revenue and costs streams at all times. Drive process improvements and initiatives that positively influence the function and the wider businesses. Develops knowledge and skills across the broad spectrum of finance roles within the business, to enhance the Finance team’s capability and capacity. Ensure financial processes and work flows are adequately documented to enable knowledge transfer within the Finance team. Evaluate controls, cash outflows across the business, initiating transparent financial reporting. Ensure that working capital forecasting is accurate, that variances are explained, trends and issues identified are incorporated, if appropriate, into future business plans. You will identify foreign currency requirements, ensuring that business financial risk is fully minimized, and that for-ex reporting and analysis is in accordance with GAAP, and meets the business needs. Support the provision of financial information to the business, on a periodic and ad-hoc basis to enable fiscal control. Provide financial control by ensuring monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, ensuring financial compliance which supports the financial statements, via complete and sufficient evidence which conforms to GAAP. Compiles any necessary financial reports to ensure that accurate financial records are maintained and statutory obligations are met. Liaising with external auditors and provide information as required in order to facilitate the production of an unqualified audit report.

The ideal applicant will be educated to degree level and have a professional qualification in ACCA, CIMA or ACA and have at least one years post qualified experience. You must have produced a full set of monthly management accounts, presenting to senior manager with full commentaries. You must have advanced excel skills as you will be developing financial models. Excellent communication skill are essential as you will must be able to influence colleagues. You must have an interest in interacting with Commercial and Operational managers.  You will work closely with Finance Managers and Finance Teams. General Managers and Business Directors. Candidates that have experience working within Manufacturing, Wholesale, FMCG, Retail or Hospitality will have an advantage.
