Ruby Group are looking for a Business Analyst to join a global FTSE250 located in Central London. Reporting to the Finance Manager your responsibilities will be. To take full responsibility for not only own work but also the work set for team members to complete. A Business Analyst should become the first contact for standard queries from Business Group Managers and Divisional Directors. Review work of the junior members of the team, identify errors and ensure these are accurately corrected (e.g. management accounts, sales reports, commentary, etc) so that it is in a position to be distributed to the Finance Manager, Business Group Manager or Divisional Director, write monthly commentaries, perform monthly re-forecasts / review monthly re-forecasts for all the P&Ls across the Divisions. Assist with the designing of sales team’s commission schemes. Ensure accurate completion of SAP (BFC) packages including controls, interpret financial/non-financial information and other tasks completed with a view to identifying and solving issues, review inter-company, bank and control account reconciliations as well as subsidiary statutory accounts, assist with the integration of new businesses and disposal of old businesses when required, complete more complex internal audits. Complete complex ad-hoc work with some guidance from the Finance Manager as well as complete normal work both to tight deadlines. Ensuring team is efficient and workload is achievable in the time available. Add value to the businesses in their portfolio by recommending revenue generating, cost saving or more efficient methods of work.
The ideal applicant will have an excellent academic record and be educated to degree level. You must be fully qualified in either ACCA, CIMA, ACA. Excellent communication skills both oral and written. Experience of managing a direct report preferable. Experience in the publishing or events sector preferable. Advanced excel skill are essential. Candidates with SUN/SAP experience will have an advantage. You must be a confident individual as you will act as an ambassador of finance. Our client offers an excellent benefits package.
